Reaching the Community with Publishing Opportunities
May 22, 2014 - DALLAS -- Bug Love Books, the children's book division of NyreePress Literary Group, is partnering with Chick-fil-A restaurants to promote literacy in the Dallas- Fort Worth community. Starting June 5th, students entering 2nd-4th grade will be able to submit their creative stories to participating Chick-fil-A locations. Each child participating will receive a free tasty treat, and one winner will receive a full publishing contract from Bug Love Books that will include full distribution with Ingram Book Company, beautiful full page illustrations that will be drawn by professional cartoonist Jamie Cosley, writing mentorship and much more. Joining the Fight against Sexual and Domestic Abuse
Jun. 28, 2013 - DALLAS -- NyreePress is excited to announce their partnership with Genesis Women's Shelter, a local woman's shelter in Dallas, Texas that offers shelter, safety, counseling and expert service's to battered women and their children. For over 28 years, Genesis has committed themselves to reaching women who experience domestic violence and who are found in extreme situations. By raising a level of community awareness regarding pervasiveness of domestic violence, Genesis extends their love and support, while offering hope to women and children in need. Mentoring Young Adult Writers and Entrepreneurs
August 19, 2016- DALLAS-- NyreePress is launching a new mentorship program for young adult aspiring writers and entrepreneurs called First Draft. Young adults ages 13-21 can participate in this program. Designed to help teen and college students who have an interest in creative writing and entrepreneurship, First Draft will provide writing sessions, accountability, community, as well as business sessions to prepare them to pursue their professional goals.
